Between chaos

So this week has been one that was so chaotic, but the same chaos made me appreciate things I generally wouldn’t.

Not too sure how many people have been following the news of the Cauvery issue in Bangalore, and the area where I live was largely affected. The route I usually take from work to home was completely blocked for 2 to 3 days. So on Monday afternoon when we were asked to leave our offices, I got to stay at a colleague’s place for some hours, then moved to my uncle’s when the situation was somewhat under control.

The next day was Bakra Eid, and uncle has a mosque right behind his flat. I think waking up to see the gathered people praying during this chaos, was one of the most beautiful things I witnessed this week. I felt at ease to see peace between all this chaos.

While I was at home most of this week, which is something I am quite thankful for, following are the other things I am thankful for this week:

  1. Family for keeping cool during all this
  2. Friends and colleagues for constantly making sure I was safe
  3. Sharang and Ketan for keeping me company (virtually) during all this
  4. The one shopkeeper that was open for an hour
  5. Everyone, I know and don’t know, for ensuring safety during this time

What are you thanful for this week? 🙂

Song of the week:
