No regrets

We’re often asked when getting to know each other, whether there is something we regret in life. I hear a lot of people say “no regrets” and yes, this is usually the case.

But then I thought about it…don’t we in some way or another, have some form of regret in our negative emotions? If I’m sad about it raining, I regret not carrying an umbrella. If I’m annoyed at you for not replying to my texts, I regret texting you in the first place. If I’m worried about my exam results, I regret not studying enough.

I don’t know how much of an extent this goes to. I guess we just have to think about it when we…feel negative emotions again. Do you have any form of regret, even if it’s 0.000001%, when experiencing a negative emotion? Let me know…this is just for my understanding and curiosity.

This week has been somewhat eventful. I coloured my hair, got trapped in a mall*, had an amazing day with an even more amazing person, watched a few movies, spent time with people who matter (both actually and virtually), and appreciated the much needed time at home.

*We went to watch a late night show and the mall had shut down…we weren’t trapped, but the place was creepy as hell. And more so after watching ‘Don’t Breathe’.Β

Things I am thankful for this week:

  1. My family, for supporting my crazy ideas
  2. The best friend, for calling despite being busy
  3. Devora, for the amazing surprise
  4. Shobana, for the shenanigans filled Saturday
  5. For the unexpected Work From Home on Friday

What are you thankful for this week? πŸ™‚
