Perspective

“Working hard is important. But there is something that matters more: believing in yourself.” – Harry Potter (J.K.Rowling)

This quote has been my motivation the past two years. It’s what I tell myself anytime I hit a low point, feel like giving up or just don’t feel like doing what I’m supposed to do. And because of this, I am where I am.

To believe in yourself and do what you want, is what life should be. People dictating and telling you what to do constantly is quite boring and clustered. We all need advice, but giving advice and expecting to follow it is not always a choice. The problem with today’s world is we expect too much out of people. We think that we are right and the other person is wrong. We have lost the concept of perspective.

But what you see as 9 may be 6 to me, because I’m looking at it from the other side. So I’m not wrong. I just have a different perspective. So keep that in mind next time you have a conversation with someone. Keep in mind that being from different countries, cities, generations, age-groups, or even families, is a good enough reason to have different perspectives. Have some cultural respect when you have conversations. It’s slowly deteriorating in the current world.

The past week has been eventful, both at work and personally. Following are the things/people I would like to give thanks to:

  • My family, for trying to understand my mood this week
  • My best friend, for being there and listening to my random rants
  • All the photograph enthusiasts for helping me hit 600 followers on Instagram
  • The big boss, for a mid-week stress buster dessert from Art of Delight
  • The rains, for perfect sleeping weather

What are you thankful for? πŸ™‚

Song of the week:
