So this past year has been one with ups and downs…as always. It’s been one hell of a year! In terms of travel, it’s been pretty much all over the place…Let’s see – Swansea, Stonehenge, London, Southampton, Bath City, Cardiff, Bangalore, Shirdi, Toronto and Quebec City. Whew. Always thankful to see new places…and old ones π
JANUARYΒ

As always, the new year begins with exams and other education related things. I was in Swansea for the 2014 new year celebrations with a bunch of amazing friends that I can never thank enough for making that new year (and the whole of 2014) one epic journey – Sharang, Ketan, Tanushree, Sundeep, Aungshu, Mrunal, Akash, Nabeel, Ashnav and Biswash. π Burrows road memories and endless…and embedded in my mind and heart forever! π
FEBRUARYΒ

The photography society gave me a different insight as to how photography actually works. Learnt a lot and had some amazing times with a couple of folks – Tanushree, Brian and Mrunal. We barely attended the workshops, but I know we all share a passion for photography. π
MARCH

I think Holi was the event that sort of introduced us to other people we now know. To all those who attended, even though we barely talk now, you guys made that celebration one epic one! It was my first Holi celebration and to have done it in Swansea at the beach was not something I expected. So thank you all! π
APRIL

When Swansea decided to become extra beautiful and have the sun shining almost everyday…sigh. We used to seize these opportunities and run out of our rooms with our bright blue Frisbee and just throw it around at the beach. Even though we barely knew what we were doing (except probably Paulina), by the end of the semester, we weren’t that bad π
MAY

I have no idea how, but we managed to chillΒ a lot this year. At the pub, in our rooms, at Burrows Road, on the beach…jeez! This shot was taken at Pub on the Pond…a day well spent with Ketan, Tanushree and Ashnav. Good times. π
JUNE

Taken at 7am on 1st June while walking back from Burrows Road…now don’t ask. Those last two weeks after exams, we literally spent every single minute at Burrows Road, except when we used to go back home to take a shower…endless nights of cards and talks – we need to do this 10 years down the lane as a reunion π
JULY

July was probably one of the busiest months of 2014, for me. I did the CELTA course, graduated with a BA (Hons) degree (finally), sister came down to Swansea, parents were down in Swansea too, visited Stonehenge, Bath City, London and Southampton and had some lovely beach moments with Sharang and Ashnav. Lots of things. The highlight of this month was probably all the travel…it was a well deserved break π
AUGUST

Back home! After an intense CELTA course, back to Bangalore…where i gorged on lovely home food and had tonnes of coffee. And also, we had puppies born right outside our house! π This break also consisted of endless memories with Betty, Sanch and Divya. π
SEPTEMBER

Back in Swansea to pursue an MA course. Sigh. Time flies.
OCTOBER

Managed to reunite with an old friend, Sharvaani. Seriously, you being here is one of the best things that happened this year! π Aside from this, October was the month where we nicely bonded with Keith and Jo. Your stories and constant silly banters never seize to amuse me π
NOVEMBER

The MA course is more intensive than I had imagined. I barely had time to do anything…but there was always time to appreciate nature. Especially considering I walk to uni and back…many opportunities! This was a day well spent with Paulina π
DECEMBER

December has been another month full of ups and downs. The new semester introduced me to new people…and some of these guys have made 2014 more epic – Devora, Mashal, Yami, Gowsia, Bruno and Ramiro. Y’all (with Paulina, Tanushree and Sundeep) gave me the memory of one of the most amazing birthdays ever. Thank you!! π Aside from all that, the trip to Canada to spend Christmas and New Years with the family has been THE highlight of the year. π
Of course we all have our low points in a year. But I never seem to share them. I won’t share them here either…and to those mentioned in this blog, hopefully we’ll be in all this together next year! Happy New Year folks! π
