CANADA WINTER: BRAMPTON, TORONTO

Toronto city is divided into a number of suburbs. Summer 2013, I stayed in the suburb of Mississauga. Winter 2014, my family moved to Brampton, which is where I am now.

Brampton is stereotyped for its abundance of Indians. I would have agreed if I had not visited the place. However, after living here for only a week, I can see a diversity of people and cultures, just like Canada as a country.

My one week in Brampton so far consists of sitting at home, lazing, holidaying, eating…and many other typical holiday things. However, I have gone out for walks and a bit of shopping. Walking down the residential areas, I noticed most of the houses bright lit with Christmas decorations – lights, snowmen, Christmas trees, reindeers and many other things. I also went to downtown Brampton, which was also beautifully lit. We got the opportunity to go on a horse chariot ride around Brampton, a service which has been in practice for 23 years by the people who run it. So without further descriptions, here are some stills from the past one week in Brampton:
