UK SUMMER: LONDON – WHAT TO DO?

London is a big city! It’s beautiful any day…rainy, snowy…and for the first time, I got to experience the city during the summer. Boy it was hot! And I’m not exaggerating. The weather was bearable. The hotel we lived in was not.

There are the main touristy things one can do when they visit the city of London. But this post is going to talk about what to do if you’ve already been to these places.

1. Β ROAM AROUND THE STREETS OF LONDON

Being a big city, don’t get afraid to get lost in it. Go to the smaller parts of the city and experience different types of culture, people and food. Take your camera along with you because every moment is a photographer’s paradise. If you’re hesitant, grab one of them hop on hop off tickets and go mad exploring the city.

2. EXPLORE THE UNDERGROUND

No, you perverts.

The underground stations in London are amazing! Each one has a unique aspect in terms of colour, design, historical value, cultural value and so on. Take time to explore the subway stations and go crazy with the cameras there too! It’s not as expensive if you invest in an Oyster card. πŸ™‚

3. BRICK LANE

I honestly do not know why people do not visit Brick Lane. It’s one of the most beautiful, cultural and active places anyone can visit. The street art, antique shows, abundance of artists, music, food…it’s just crazy amazing! This is a must visit if you’re in London.

4. HARRY POTTER

If you’re a Harry Potter freak (like me), and do not have time visit the actual studios right outside London, you can always get a small glimpse of the magical story. Visit Kings Cross Station, near platform 9 and 10, where you can get a shot of (or with) the trolley at Platform 9 and three quarters. There’s also a small merchandise store with the most amazing things any Harry Potter fanatic will rant about for the rest of his/her life!

There’s a lot more that can be done. However, this is all I managed to cover in a day. If you’ve any more suggestions, please do comment down below and let me know. Happy exploring! πŸ™‚
